Academy of the City Charter School | MS
Overview
Matter is providing Connecticut Charter Schools Association (CTCSA) with facility and real estate advisory services to aid them in their goal of helping new and expanding public charter schools find educational spaces that fit school budgets and student needs.
We have successfully researched and analyzed areas where Connecticut-based public charter schools exist and may expand in the state. We authored 12 comprehensive reports, each centered around a distinct school district, to equip public charter school organizations with the information they need to establish a new school or expand an existing school.
The reports provide schools with a wide range of useful facility and real estate information, including recommended architects, general contractors, and real estate brokers in their area. These sections are paired with a detailed explanation of each vendor’s role in the real estate development process. Finally, the reports list potential lenders and describe the construction financing process.
In each report, we outlined opportunities in the marketplace by highlighting available buildings that could be repurposed for school use in order to ensure CTCSA can easily guide school leaders toward the best options for their students.
